- Maximum: 57 years for College Librarian posts, 34 years for Assistant Director posts, 37 years for AGM and Automobile Engineer posts, and 32 years for other posts.
- Age Relaxation: Applicable as per Tamil Nadu government rules.
- Educational Qualifications:
- Veterinary Assistant Surgeon: B.V.Sc. Degree / B.V.Sc. & A.H.
- Marketing Posts: MBA in Marketing + relevant experience.
- Engineering Posts: B.E./B.Tech in relevant disciplines + experience.
- College Librarian: Master’s in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science (or equivalent).
- Finance Posts: CA / ICWA.
- Assistant Director: A Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Tamil Literature is required.
- Proficiency in Tamil: Required knowledge of Tamil, demonstrated by having Tamil as a subject in SSLC, HSC, or Degree, or by passing the Second-Class Language Test in Tamil conducted by the TNPSC.

- Registration Fee: ₹150 (valid for 5 years).
- Examination Fee: ₹200 (for General and OBC candidates).
- Exemptions: The exam fee is waived for SC/ST, MBC, BC, BC (Muslims), Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, and Destitute Widows.
