What is SSC CGL?
The staff selection commission combined graduate exam is abbreviated as SSC CGL. To hire candidates for positions inside the Government of India’s many organizations, departments, and offices, the Staff Selection Commission holds the SSC CGL examination. It is a national-level exam to fill Group B and Group C positions in government offices.
SSC CGL Exam Pattern
Tier 1
SSC CGL Tier 1 will be a qualifying exam. There will be four sections, each with 25 questions, according to the SSC CGL Syllabus 2023 for the Tier 1 Exam. The Tier 1 Exam has a 60-minute completion time limit and a 0.50-point deduction for each incorrect answer.
Tier 2
There are three parts to the SSC CGL syllabus for Tier 2: Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3. There will be four subjects in Paper 1: English Language & Comprehension, General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability. Like the Tier 1 exam, it is a computer-based test (CBT). At this stage, candidates must complete 130 questions in two hours, with each question worth three marks. One point is deducted for each incorrect response.
