The positions are against the Scout and Guide quota. The recruitment process starts on the official website on January 20, 2024, and the last date to submit the application form is February 20, 2024.

Number of posts in Southern Railway Recruitment 2024 

Applications are open for Indian citizens to apply for Level-2 and Level-1 Posts in Southern Railway under the Scouts & Guides quota for the year 2023-2024. Here’s the breakdown of available positions:
   1. Southern Railway :

• LEVEL-2: 02 positions
• LEVEL-1: 12 positions

   2. ICF (Integral Coach Factory)

• LEVEL-2: 01 position
• LEVEL-1: 02 positions

Eligibility for Southern Railway Recruitment 2024

The candidate who wants to appear for this exam should –

1. An active member of a Scout and Guide organization for the past 5 years.
2. Have attended at least two events at All Indian Railway’s Level and Two at the State Level.
3. A President’s Scout/Guide/River/Ranger or holder of Himalayan Wood Badge.

The candidate should be 18 years old to appear for this position whereas one should not be more than 30 years old for level 2 and not more than 33 years old for level 1. Relaxation according to the category can be provided to the candidates.

Application Fee

• For all candidates – Rs 500
• For SC/ST/ExServiceman/PWDs/Female/Transgender/Minorities/Economically Backward class is- Rs 250

Selection process for Southern Railway 2024

The selection process for Southern Railway is done in two parts. Candidates will be selected based on how well they perform in the written test and their active participation in rallies. Here’s what you need to know:

1. Written Test: Your performance in the written exam will play a significant role in the selection process. 

2. Active Participation in Rallies:

• Participation in District Rallies
•  Participation in state events.
•  Specialized Scout/Guide course organized at State/National and All Indian Railways Level.
• Participation in Jamboree and all Indian Railway events
