To be eligible for the SBI PO 2023 recruitment, candidates must meet certain criteria as specified in the SBI PO Notification 2023. These criteria typically include Candidate’s Nationality, Educational Qualification, and Age Limit.

Educational Qualification

To be eligible to apply for SBI PO 2023 Recruitment candidate must have following educational qualification:

  • Graduation Requirement: Candidates should have completed a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university can apply for SBI PO Recruitment 2023.

SBI PO Recruitment 2023: Application Fees

The application fee for the SBI PO 2023 examination is as follows:

  • General/EWS/OBC Candidates: The application fee for these candidates is Rs. 750/-
  • SC/ST/PwBD Candidates: SC, ST, and PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) candidates are exempt from paying the application fee. For them, the application fee is ‘Nil,’ meaning they don’t need to pay any fee.

Note: It’s important to note that once the application fee is paid, it will not be refunded for any reason, nor can it be reserved or transferred for any other examination or selection process. Candidates should carefully consider this before making their payment.

SBI PO Recruitment 2023: Selection Process

The selection procedure for the SBI Probationary Officer involves three distinct phases, each of which is crucial for determining the final selection of candidates:

Stage 1: SBI Probationary Officer Prelims

  • The SBI PO Prelims Exam is the initial evaluation of candidates’ general aptitude.
  • It is an online objective test with a duration of 1 hour.
  • The exam comprises three sections: English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude.
  • There is no sectional cutoff in the SBI PO Prelims Exam, but there is an overall cutoff set by the bank, varying by candidate category.
  • Approximately 10 times the number of vacancies in each category will be shortlisted for the Main Examination based on the top scores from the merit list.

Stage 2: SBI Probationary Officer Mains

  • Candidates who clear the SBI PO Prelims are eligible for the SBI PO Mains Exam.
  • The SBI PO Mains Exam consists of both an Objective Test and a Descriptive Test.
  • The Objective Test covers four sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning & Computers, and General/Economy/Banking Awareness.
  • There is no sectional cutoff in the SBI PO Mains Exam.
  • Category-wise merit lists are generated based on the aggregate marks scored in the Main Examination.
  • Approximately three times the number of category-wise vacancies will be shortlisted for the Group Exercise & Interview, provided they achieve the minimum aggregate qualifying score

Stage 3: SBI Probationary Officer Group Exercises and Interview

  • Candidates who qualify in the SBI Mains Exam are invited to participate in the Interview and Group Exercise.
  • This is the final stage of the selection process and carries significant weight in determining a candidate’s final selection as an SBI PO.
  • Additionally, the bank may conduct a Psychometric test for personality profiling, which will be considered by the Interview panel.
  • The marks obtained in the SBI Mains and Interview collectively contribute to the final selection of candidates for the role of SBI PO.
  • This multi-stage selection process ensures that candidates are evaluated comprehensively, covering their aptitude, knowledge, and personality traits, to select the most suitable candidates for the prestigious position of SBI PO.
