What is RRB JE?
RRB is an abbreviation for Railway Recruitment Board. Prior to this, it was known as the Railway Recruitment Commission. It is a Central Government Exam for the positions of Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA), Junior Engineer (IT), Junior Engineer (JE), and Chemical Material Superintendent (DMS).
RRB JE exam pattern
The RRB JE Exam Pattern is divided into four stages:
- First Round of CBT
- Second Round of CBT
- Document Verification / Medical Test
- Final Selection
RRB JE CBT 1 Exam Pattern
- The Computer-Based Test(CBT) 1 is the first level of the exam and carries 100 marks.
- To make it to the next stage, you must receive the minimum qualifying score of 40% on this exam plus the minimal cut-off marks.
- Each question is awarded one mark, with each incorrect response deducting 1/3rd of that mark.
- This exam’s score will not be taken into account when determining the final merit list.
RRB JE CBT 2 Exam Pattern
- The scores obtained from this will be taken into account for this final merit list.
- You must receive the minimum qualifying marks (40%) and the minimum cut-off marks in this exam, which carry a total weight of 150 points, in order to pass.
- There will be 150 questions worth one mark, with a deduction of one-third of a mark for each incorrect response.
