The Central Board of Secondary Education is going to release the CBSE Date sheet 2024 for the CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exam 2024 by the end of Oct 2023 on its Official Website. However, it’s important for Class 10 and 12 to know that the exact date and timing for the release of the CBSE Board Exam 2024 date sheet have not been officially announced yet.
The Expected Date of CBSE Board Exam 2024 is from 15 Feb to 10 Apr 2024, covering around 55 days in 2024. CBSE Students can download the Exam date sheet from this article once it is released on the Official Website.

CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exam 2024: Key Changes
The New Education Policy 2020 and the revised exam pattern introduced by CBSE for Class 10 and 12 Board Exams are designed to reduce the exam pressure on students. Given below is the summary of the key changes in the exam pattern introduced by CBSE for Class 10 and 12 Board Exams.
For Class 10:
- 50% of the questions will be competency questions.
- 20% of the questions will be response type.
- 20% of the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions.
- 30% of the questions will be short answer/long answer type questions.
For Class 12:
- 40% of the questions will be competency questions.
- 20% of the questions will be response type.
- 20% of the questions will be MCQs.
- 40% of the questions will be short answer/long answer type questions.
Overall, CBSE Class 10 and 12 Students will have to answer 15 to 35 questions in three hours.

CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exam Date Sheet 2023: Big Announcement
The Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan has announced that students will have the option to appear for class 10 and 12 Board exams twice a year, similar to the engineering entrance exam JEE. This option is being introduced to reduce the stress and anxiety caused by the fear of a single opportunity in the Class 10 and 12 Board Exam. However, it’s important for Class 10 and 12 Students to note that this will be completely optional, and they will not be compelled to take the exams twice a year.
