Essential qualification:

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 15 years of experience, which include:
- ICMR Candidates must have at least 5 years in a managerial position where they have independently handled Research and Development (R&D) projects. This includes being a Principal Investigator (PI) or Co-PI of scientific studies, and serving as the Head of Research Groups, Centers, Institutes, or Laboratories.
- ICMR Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of regular service in the Pay Matrix level-13-A or equivalent, as amended from time to time.
